The Discipleship Path Assessment is a free personalized tool designed by Dr. Steve Baney to help individuals understand their current spiritual habits and take meaningful next steps. Participants respond to statements across multiple categories (Come, Connect, Contribute, Commit, Continue, among others), and receive visual charts and next step recommendations based on their responses. The tool uses a custom MySQL database and is built with PHP and JavaScript.
Visual feedback is a key part of the Assessment. After completing the Assessment, participants gain access to a variety of tools specifically customized to them based upon their responses to the Assessment. Here's an example of one of the two types of charts generated for a participant:
The Assessment is designed to identify where a participant is along their spiritual journey, called their Discipleship Path. When we know our location along the path, we can more readily identify our next step. These are the areas in our lives where we are ready to grow next. Participants are provided feedback regarding their next steps. This is a simulation of the personalized next steps a participant might receive after completing the assessment:
